GOToronto: GO Transit Sidekick App Reviews

I am disappointed and frustrated with the fact that this app charges on a MONTHLY basis. It’s one thing to charge on purchase but every month?! Not to mention that this app is being used by people who are already paying to use the GO service… I deleted it immediately.

I like this app and it is a very good replacement for the Go Transit App. There is one thing you could think of doing to improve it and that is put on service alerts and include them as push notifications. This would be a big help to those who travel regularly on a particular line every time they travel. For example: I usually travel on the Lakeshore West line and it is my main transportation from getting to point A to point B. Otherwise, keep up the great work and Im sure you are always updating and improving the app and you should be commended for it.

Update is required in order for app to work. This has been inconvenient for me too many times when I want to look up train times in a pinch and then discover I need to update it before I can retrieve any information. By the time the update is complete, Ive missed a train.

I use this app all the time. Push notifications for late trains and track changes would be cool. Possibly even as a subscription features, provided it’s not too expensive.

Great app - the only thing missing is to indicate whether or not you have to change trains at Union when travelling Lakeshore West and Lakeshore East routes.

As a frequent commuter of GO Transit I would consider this app to be perfect for its intended purpose. Very easy to use overall and the schedule information is quick and easy to read, perfect for the traveller in a hurry as many of us are nowadays. Ive used other GO Transit apps from the app store and I would personally highly recommend this one above all others both free and paid.

I got scammed because it didnt state in the app that this is not for GO buses. I tried searching for the bus schedule but nothing came up. Not happy!

It just works unlike triplinx. If there is anything missing its the ability to make favorites. Well done app more than worth the money.

Just what you need for the GO. Train schedules, platforms, delays and can be based off current location.

This app rocks - I am using it on my iPad (please make an iPad version!) This is a very easy to use and convenient app for looking up GO status and schedules.

Do you use the GO? If you answered yes, why havent you already downloaded this app. You really cant get a more functional app, not even if Metrolinx made it themselves... It has GO delays, the departure gate boards in Union, and schedules all in real-time. Nuff said, BUY IT!
